About MSOPA MEMBERSHIP
Goals
MSOPA is dedicated to providing a professional forum for those working with superintendents of Minnesota public school districts. Our mission is to support, share, and advance the job responsibilities of our members who serve the staff, students, and resident of their communities.
Membership Information
Our membership is open to individuals working in the offices of superintendents within public school systems. While those employed in private PreK-12 school systems may attend our conferences, they are not eligible for membership.
Annual Dues: $100 per year
The membership year runs from July 1 through June 30, coinciding with the school year.
Meetings
We hold regular meetings, including a minimum of one annual meeting as part of a spring conference. Our meetings are designed to facilitate networking and professional development. Members are encouraged to share district information, suggest topics for discussion, and engage in collaborative problem-solving.
Meeting topics have included:
- School board minutes and agendas
- Legal and data privacy issues
- Staff renewal and wellness
- Contracts and position descriptions
- School board election administration
- Other subjects relevant to the office of the superintendent and the broader school district community

MSOPA membership also includes access to a network of over 90 professionals who provide immediate answers to questions, help problem solve, and have a true understanding of your unique job!
